Let's assume you are at a dinner event, a reunion, an industry or trade group meeting, or anything similar. One of the things you will invariably see are two things:
- People passing out business cards
- People who are looking for a job giving out something
When you come back from that event, you have a stack of similar looking business cards. What do they tell you? Company Name, Address, perhaps a mission statement, perhaps the products/services they sell. Usually rectangle and 2" x 3" or so. White with some color.
Take a look at this presentation then ask yourself, what could you do differently. At the end of the event you want to give them something that begs them to want to see more —
Bill,
i so impressed by that presentation! you wow me all the time, thatnks for the bright spots in my day!
Bill,
I was so impressed by this presentation, you WOW me all the time. I got out a business card and ripped it and it keeps a crease. i am going to invest in a different card, one that tells people about me, not the company I am working for. Thanks again for the bright spots in my day!
Linda, Thanks for the comment. 99% of people have similar looking business cards. Anything we can do to stick out and create a discussion helps.
Thanks.
Bill
