First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this. My goal is that people come to this blog to get on track to their true career, not just get a job so here is a primer of what my blog is about.
Q: Ok, so what is this blog all about?
Well, thanks for asking. If you are completely in love with your life, your job, making all the money in the world and living your dream then I probably can’t help you much. Please don’t change what you’re doing and help me with this blog as we’d love to hear what you’re doing right. All others might find some nuggets to choose the career of their choice and live the life the person above is living.
Q: Will I get rich reading this?
You may, but this is bigger than that. If you do what you love, the money you need will follow. This isn’t just about getting rich, marrying the person of your dreams, or visiting that famous person you always dreamed of meeting (though it can be all these things). The intention of my blogs and my developing website will be to ensure you find the job of your dreams.
Q: How will the Job Swami help me?
I bring over 20 years of hiring, managing, coaching, motiviating and, yes, firing people. I have been an employee, a manager, a business owner, a management consultant, speaker, trainer and then go home and I’m a dad (of 4 kids) and husband of 24 years. Sounds pretty boring, I know but I am hoping to affect a couple lives and if you don’t like it, then it didn’t cost you anything anyway.
Every day I talk to people who are looking for jobs. I advise, coach, train and guide them into their chosen careers. These are some of my musings from over the years.
Q: Why did you choose the name Swami?
I thought it was appropriate as my goal is to push you to do what you love, what you enjoy and what may help you reach those wonderful dreams you may have had at one point in your life. My blog and website will at some point provide the tools for you to make this happen so hopefully the name makes sense.
Q: Who is this site for?
If you are recently unemployed (or recently employed), just out of school, just out of the military, getting into a second career or just plain sick and tired of being sick and tired, let’s do something about it.
My expectations are high for what we can make this into. Please contribute as this thing grows and evolves.
Carpe Diem… Live for the Day!
Hey Morgan,
Like your FAQ style intro… As soon as some one browse this page, it develops interest… looking forward to your other posts…
One thing about the name "swami"… calling it as stupid is somewhat I didn't like… actually it's a Hindi language word, which means Master…
Cheers!!!
